Email-Microsoft Outlook

Locate the Microsoft Outlook icon on your Windows Desktop and double click,or click on the `Start` button,then click on `programs`,find and select Outlook.Either method opens Microsoft Outlook,an email facility.Another method is to double-click on the Microsoft Outlook icon in the toolbar.

The components of Outlook are organized into folders. There are separate folders for your messages, appointments, notes, tasks etc. You can open these folders by clicking the appropriate icon on the Outlook bar.There are folders for inbox,sent items,outbox etc.There is a toolbar with various icons at the top of the screen;place your mouse pointer over an icon to see its name appear.

The inbox holds any recieved emails.You may need to click on the Send And Recieve icon to make more recent emails available for viewing.Double click on a message to read it.Click the Print icon to print the currently displayed message.There is a Delete icon if you wish to delete a message.Use the Compose icon to write an email,click Send to send it.You can close outlook by clicking the `X` in the top right-hand corner.

By default Outlook will display a "tip of the day" each time you start Outlook. If you take the time to read these tips as they are displayed, then you will soon find that you are on the way to becoming an Outlook expert!

Microsoft Office Assistant:

By default this friendly little creature will watch what you do and offer tips on how to work more productively. You can ask it questions in plain English! Occasionally the Office Assistant will display information on the screen. If you are unsure about how to use this product you should always read the help offered. You can choose to implement the tip, have it explained, or to ignore the tip. The Office Assistant is displayed by default. If the assistant has been hidden and you wish to reactivate it, click on the Microsoft Outlook Help icon,right click on the Office Assistant and from the menu displayed, click on the Hide command,

"What Is This?" Help:

Within many dialog boxes you will see a question mark symbol in the top-right corner of the dialog box. Not all dialog boxes have this feature however. To use "What is this", click on the question mark and then click on the item in the dialog box that you do not understand. A popup help dialog box will be displayed.
