Change view/display modes.
To change view (display) mode · Pressing the F11 key will toggle between the ‘standard screen mode’ display and the ‘full screen mode’ display. In full screen mode you will not see the Windows Taskbar bar across the bottom of the screen and the normal drop down menus will also not be visible.

To view source HTML Normally the text and graphical content of the Web page that you are viewing will be displayed within your Web browser. If you wish you may view the source HTML code that is responsible for displaying that Web page. To see the source HTML. Click on the View drop down menu and select Source. The source code will be displayed within the Notebook program.
Modify toolbar display.
Customizing Toolbars The toolbars in Microsoft Internet Explorer allow you to select commands and features quickly and easily. Although there are default toolbars, you can customize them to display icons for the commands you use most frequently. You can display several toolbars at once on the screen.
Quick way of displaying / hiding toolbars · TIP: A quick way of displaying/hiding toolbars is to right click on an existing toolbar, this will display the Toolbars drop down menu, from which you can select or de-select toolbars.
To add or delete an icon on the toolbar - To add an icon to any displayed toolbar, choose Toolbars and then Customize from the View menu to display the Customize Toolbar dialog box, as illustrated below. Simply select the toolbar button and click on the Add button to add to the toolbar. - Once finished click on the Close button to close the Customize Toolbar dialog box.
Display images in a Web page.
By default Microsoft Internet Explorer will automatically display any images within a Web page. You may choose to turn this feature off to speed the loading of Web pages but because of the graphical nature of the Web this is somewhat missing the point!
To set Microsoft Internet Explorer to not display images - Click on
the Tools drop down menu and select the Internet Options command.Click
on the Advanced tab within the dialog box. Scroll down until you see
the option relating to Show Pictures. Removing the tick next to this
option will mean that the browser will load pages, but not display any
pictures that might be contained within the pages. You may have to close
and then re-start your browser to see the effect of this change.

Do not load image files onto Web page.
To prevent graphics loading within a Web page If you wish you can inhibit the displaying of images (i.e. pictures) within the Internet Explorer program. To do this click on the Tools drop down menu and select the Internet Options command. A dialog box is displayed. Select the Advanced tab and scroll down until you can see the option illustrated. Make sure there is no tick in the Show picture check box and then close the dialog box by clicking on the OK button. When you use this option a rectangular box will be displayed in place of your pictures when viewing Web sites. Some people use this option to surf the Web due to the fact that the loading of Web pages is much quicker (without the necessity for the loading of large graphics files).
